Voice Thing

Dedicated Voice Communication Applications

In each application listed below, if Voice Thing! has been set as the default recording device (which the Voice Thing! installer does during the installation process), it should just work.

If, for some reason, Voice Thing! is not currently the default recording device, either because you manually changed it, or some other application did, you can refer to the instructions below to manually set up each application to use Voice Thing!.

TeamSpeak

Go to the following TeamSpeak menu:
Settings --> Options

• Click on the "Sound Devices" tab.

• Select Voice Thing! as the Input Device and click "OK."

 

Ventrillo

Ventrillo offers the option of using DirectSound. While Voice Thing! should work fine with DirectSound, if you're having problems, you might try turning DirectSound off.

• Click the "Setup..." button.

• In the Setup window, click the "Voice" tab.

• In the Input device section, if "Use DirectSound" is checked, ensure that Voice Thing! is selected in the Input device pop-up.

• Alternatively, uncheck "Use DirectSound" and choose Voice Thing! from the Input device menu and click "OK."

 

XFIRE

Go to the following XFIRE menu:
Tools --> Options

• In the Options window, click the "Voice" tab.

• In the "Input" field, choose Voice Thing! from the menu and click "OK."

 

Roger Wilco

• Click the "Adjust" tab

• On the Adjust screen, click "Configure."

• Click "Next" to proceed through the Configure screens until you get to the hardware and drivers selection screen.

• In the "Record Device" field, choose Voice Thing! from the menu and click "Next" to proceed through the remaining screens.

 

Skype

Go to the following Skype menu:
Tools --> Options

• In the left-hand list of options, select "Audio Settings."

• In the "Microphone" field, choose Voice Thing! from the menu and click "Save."
